LuAnn B. Paulet, President
Like so many others in the insurance industry, founding partner LuAnn Paulet first became involved with the agency side of the business by accident fresh out of college.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Iowa, her first job was as bookkeeper of Caswell-Ross Insurance Agency in 1981.  From accounting to customer service, to marketing, to sales, her career progressed until that leap from the edge into agency ownership.  After 30 years in the industry LuAnn can honestly tell you she loves the insurance business.

Along with business responsibilities LuAnn has raised two grown children and spends a significant amount of her time giving back to her community.  She is a longtime member of Bloomington Rotary, serving on the rotary board for two terms, and as past president of the club.  In 2005/06 she was named New Rotarian of the Year of the Rotary Club of Bloomington.

Additionally she volunteers at VEAP and in the past has been active with Boy Scouts and her local schools.


 

John M. Paulet, Vice President

Partner, John Paulet has been in the insurance industry for over half a century in many different capacities.  He graduated from St Thomas Academy and completed his formal education at St Thomas College.  His insurance career began as manager of the clerical claims department at MSI moving into a field claims adjuster position.  He spent several years with Marsh McClenhan in sales and later became a Vice President, leading to an ownership position with Anchor Agency in St Paul.  After a merger with Alexander & Alexander he was named Vice President of Sales & Agency Management.  In 1982 he founded Paulet/Slater where he was President and Chairman of the Board until founding Paulet & Associates.

Over the years John has been an active member and board member of Rotary International, Kiwanis International, as well as an active member in the Independent Insurance Agency Association.  He also served on the City of St Paul Insurance Advisory Committee under Mayor Tom Byrnes.

Additionally he has served as President/Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mendokota Country Club for two consecutive terms and is the father to 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
